So we were hungry and started to have a craving for BBQ beef. However, having gained quite a fair bit of weight recently, we decided to go for a healthier option and settled for shabu shabu. After sometime of googling, we decided to give suki ya @ kallang wavemall lunch buffet a try.
The promotion price right now is $14.90++ per pax for lunch buffet which we thought was already very worth it.
However, in the midst of our lunch a friendly service staff came over to our table and offered us a better deal!
How it works:
- suki ya is part of creative eateries whom are doing a membership promo right now
- membership cost is $25. Upon signing up you are given $40 in credits
- You can use the credit to off set the current meal.
So this basically meant we are paying $25 net for 2 pax of suki ya buffet lunch or $12.50 per pax net! see screenshot attached:
So basically we paid using the $40 rebate given to us 🙂
Food wise, the selection was good. You can have a choice of beef, chicken or pork all of which are free flow. The vegetable counter had a good mix with my favourite golden mushroom and shitake mushroom available. The is also ramen or udon if you want more carb.
Drinks are free flow with the usual soft drinks and teas. The only down side is that the ice cream is for dinner only 🙁 but still for this price we can’t really complain much.
Above is a image of our meal 15 minutes into eating.
Anyway to sum things up, basically you bay $25 for the membership which gives you $40 in credit to use immediately. I believe it can be used at other creative eateries restaurant such as fremantle seafood market, Siam kitchen, eat at taipei and more but we have yet to try. So back to suki ya, the original price for 2 pax at the end came up to $36 which we paid using the $40 credit.
So once again. We paid $25 for 2 person which in case you have terrible math is $12.50 per pax NET!
